ASOS Guest Post: Pastel + Print

Why Choose Between Pastel or Print, Have Both!
The two biggest trends this season have got to be pastels and prints, but how can you choose
between them? Well, the easy answer is don’t! This time you really can have your cake and eat it,
by combining pastels and prints into your new season wardrobe all at once with soft feminine
colours and prints from the delicate to the bold.
For ultimate ladylike chic a dress is always a fabulous option as it needs very little accessorising
and can be dressed up or down. This gorgeous mint green dress with floral print from ASOS can
easily be worn with leggings and flats during the day and by whipping off the leggings and
replacing flats for some serious killer heels you will be ready to party in no time.

Unleash your girliest side and add in some pastel pink to your wardrobe. To stop the look being a
tad too sweet a cool baroque print over the pink really adds edge to your getup. This jersey pencil
skirt will be brilliant for stylish officewear when teamed with a black blazer and heeled brogues  but
can be dressed up with gold toe cap court shoes and a leather jacket.

Pastel patterns don’t have to be 2D either, this beautiful sequin blouse uses hundreds of layered
sequins to create a textured finish. Pastels don’t have to be mixed only with neutral shades either.
They go perfectly with each other too and coloured jeans are a great trend right now, especially as
we are heading into the winter season and want to start wrapping up a little more.

To go with all our new pastel treasures we need a piar of shoes that will go with just about anything
and these loafers certainly deliver that. White is brilliant with pastels as it fits in with the fresh theme
and as they are leather they look smart enough for work but will look just as good teamed with your
 favourite play outfits.

So next time you can’t decide between two key trends look for something that mixes them both
and you will be one happy lady!
